The term cavitation refers to a physical phenomenon involving hydraulic systems and machines.
It is the formation of small bubbles of vapour that collapse instantaneously to generate small, very high-pressure jets which, in the long term, damage the pump.
HOW IT WORKS
When the pressure available is insufficient it is necessary to install a boosting system. FLUX BOOSTING SYSTEM starts and stops according to the user’s needs.
The most commonly used pumps are centrifugal, both in an industrial and a civil environment. This type of pump can provide flow rates that range from a few l/m to a lot of m3/h, and a head ranging from a few metres up to more than a thousand.
The push towards innovation, constant attention paid to improvement and the desire to answer market needs more effectively are the reasons why we re-designed our MXV series multi-stage pumps.
This video shows how to assemble and disassemble CA pumps. They are close-coupled self-priming liquid ring pumps with star impeller. Suitable for clean and non-aggressive liquids, without suspended solids, and when the liquid has entrained air or gas or the flow in the suction pipe is not stable.
Even details are important when making a pump. Bearing life, for example, is a key aspect on the reliability of the pump. The purpose of ball bearings is mainly to support the whole load of the shaft line and also withstand the axial thrust of the rotor.
